Opened in October 2016 in historic Downtown Crete, IL, The Loft Restaurant & Bar provides a comfortable, family friendly, hometown atmosphere where everyone can enjoy a delicious classic American Style dish, or one of The Loft’s unique creations. From burgers to salads to sandwiches to nearly a dozen Artisan pizzas, The Loft has something for everyone, and will certainly leave everyone satisfied.
The owner, Chef Daniel Louis, was born and raised in the south Chicagoland area, graduating from Crete Monee High School. Growing up he loved to watch his mom cook and from there his love for cooking never stopped growing. Daniel attended both Culinary and Business school in Iowa, where he gained over 20 years of experience working in, and managing, every aspect of a restaurant and bar.
His favorite thing about running a restaurant is the patrons. Nothing is better than cooking a great meal for someone, then striking up an even better conversation. Daniel loves using his cooking to build a community of friends and family who can all agree on one thing, great food.
